Leek

Leek is a vegetable that belongs to the same family as garlic and onions and is grown for his bulb, which is formed at the base of its leaves. Leek growing season is all year round, although there are differences between varieties of autumn-winter leeks and spring-summer leeks, the latter being more tender.

Prior to packing it, normally in 10 kg boxes, leeks are pre-cooled with cold water and vacuum cooler and kept at a temperature lower than 2° C.
